Evaluation of the permeability of high strength concrete using metakaolin and wood ash as partial replacement for cement

Abstract The present study is aimed to develop a high strength concrete by using mineral admixtures of wood ash (WA), metakaolin (MK), and chemical admixture. In order check the compatibility, physical properties materials are studied. specific gravity, bulk density fineness ordinary Portland cement, have been When compare other materials, has more it implies reactivity than ash. Similarly, fine aggregate coarse aggregates also studies. And compressive strength, water absorption test, rapid chloride penetration test conducted. From report, can be noted that maximum achieved 83 N/mm 2 in 10% WA + 20% MK blended concrete. lowest permeability were obtained as 2.5% 348 C respectively At end experimental works, all results correlated with each other. well (R = 84.9%) charge passed 91.5%).
